False Memory

Accused Passes Polygraph Test

Keith Mitchell, charged by his daughter with the murder of her infant brother 30 years ago, recently passed a polygraph test in Riverside, CA. Julie Concannon, 40, says that she began having memories of the alleged crime in 1995, after undergoing hypnosis with an unlicensed psychotherapist. Her parents say that she suffers from false memory syndrome. (Sarah Huntley, Rocky Mountain News, Internet, 1/22/03)
