Lauren Stevens is a founding Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Safe
Passage Foundation. Prior to her involvement in Safe Passage Foundation, Ms.
Stevens spent four years in the non-profit sector working first in project
management and later as Executive Director for two humanitarian aid
organizations in East and Central Africa. Lauren Stevens became aware of the
difficulties facing youth raised in high demand organizations from her own
experience of being born and raised in such an environment and later departing
the movement with her husband and two small children. Since exiting her
community of origin, Ms. Stevens has focused her time and energy on education
and career advancement while sharing her own experiences in order to help others
coming from the same background to transition smoothly into society.
