Thomas Robbins, Ph.D.
Thomas Robbins, Ph.D.,
is an independent scholar in the sociology of
religion (Ph.D. University of North Carolina).
He is the author of Cults, Converts, and
Charisma (1988) and has co-edited five
collections of original papers, including In
Gods we Trust (Transaction 1981, 1990) and
Millennium, Messiahs and Mayhem (Routledge,
1997). He has published numerous articles,
essays, and reviews for journals in social
science and religious studies. he resides
in Rochester, Minnesota.
