Katherine V. Masis, M.A.
Katherine Masis holds a
licentiate degree in philosophy from the
Universidad de Costa Rica and a master's degree
in clinical psychology from Saint Michael's
College, Vermont. Born and raised in San Jose,
Costa Rica, Central America, of an American
mother and a Costa Rican father, Katherine
worked as a bilingual community mental health
counselor in Oregon for four years and went back
to teaching philosophy at Universidad de Costa
Rica. Her current interests are bridging
philosophy and psychology, gender issues and the
